Next Mac Group Ltd– Grading, Warranty & Returns Policy
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all sales made by Next Mac Group Ltd (“the Seller”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing any goods from us, whether via our website, retail outlets, or third-party sales platforms, the purchaser (“the Buyer”, “you”, “your”) accepts and agrees to these Terms in full.
1. Product Grading – Apple Devices
All Apple products are tested and refurbished where stated. Grading relates solely to cosmetic condition, not functionality, unless expressly stated.
Grade A – Excellent Condition
Device will show minimal cosmetic use. Screen free from major marks or blemishes. May show micro-wear only. Fully tested and functional.
Grade B – Good Condition
Device will show moderate signs of cosmetic use. Screen may show light marks not impairing normal use. Chassis may have visible scratches, scuffs, or minor dents. Fully tested and functional.
Grade C – Fair Condition
Device will show heavier cosmetic wear. Screen and chassis may contain scratches, dents, or pressure marks but remains in usable condition. Fully functional unless expressly sold as otherwise.
Grade D – Spares/Repairs (where listed)
Device sold as faulty, not tested, or for parts only. No warranty or return rights apply
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 Website / Direct Sales (www.nextmac.co.uk, NextMac retail)
Unless otherwise stated, all refurbished Apple devices are supplied with a 6-month return-to-base (RTB) warranty beginning from the original date of purchase.
If a fault develops within 30 days of purchase, the Buyer may request either:
A repair or replacement of equal or higher specification, or
A refund if fault is found, less any shipping costs incurred.
After 30 days, warranty claims are limited strictly to repair or replacement at our discretion.
Warranty covers manufacturer hardware faults only.
2.2 Exclusions (Warranty does NOT cover)
Liquid or moisture damage (including devices advertised as water-resistant or IP-rated).
Accidental or intentional damage, misuse, or neglect.
Any third-party tampering, repair, modification, unlocking, or jailbreaking.
Cosmetic wear including scratches, dents, or marks occurring post-sale.
Software issues, viruses, corruption, or Buyer-added applications.
Normal wear and tear, including depreciation of casing, screen, or internal components.
Any clearance of macOS, reinstallation, or deletion of pre-installed software is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Such actions will void any warranty provided.
Battery degradation: minimum battery health at point of sale is 75% of original manufacturer capacity. Normal battery decline is expressly excluded.
2.3 Facebook Marketplace & Gumtree Sales
All purchases made through Facebook Marketplace & Gumtree are deemed trade-only sales.
Such sales carry a 14-day return-to-base warranty only, beginning from the date of purchase.
In all cases, the Buyer must return the device to us for inspection as it was when sold before any warranty remedy will be considered.
If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will repair or replace the device. If no fault is found or the issue falls under warranty exclusions, the Buyer shall remain liable for all shipping costs.
No refunds will be issued for Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree sales unless required by law.
3. Returns
3.1 General Conditions
All warranty claims are return-to-base. The Buyer is responsible for securely packaging and returning the device at their own cost. If a valid fault is confirmed, the Seller will cover the outbound return shipping back to the Buyer.
All items are security marked and serial/IMEI recorded. Returned devices must match the original unit supplied. Substitution of devices will result in the claim being rejected.
All returned units must be free of iCloud, passwords, encryption, or user locks. Devices received with active security locks will not be processed and will void warranty rights.
3.2 Non-Fault Returns (Change of Mind / Buyer Error)
For website/retail sales, non-fault returns may be accepted within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Items must be returned in the exact condition supplied, with all accessories.
A 10% depreciation/restocking fee will be applied to the refund, plus deduction of all original postage costs.
Facebook Marketplace sales are strictly trade-only and therefore exempt from Consumer Rights Act change-of-mind provisions.
4. Limitation of Liability
The Seller’s liability under these Terms is strictly limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the product purchased, subject to these Terms.
Under no circumstances shall the Seller be held liable for:
Loss of data, software, or user content.
Indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damages.
Any business loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, contracts, revenue, goodwill, or anticipated savings.
The Buyer is solely responsible for backing up all data before returning any device.
5. Wholesale & Trade Sales
Wholesale and trade sales, including those made via Facebook Marketplace, carry a 14-day limited warranty.
Warranty is strictly non-transferable and applies only to the original Buyer.
Refunds are not available for trade sales unless agreed in writing; credits or replacements may be issued at our discretion.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
